Company:
Farasis Energy, Inc. is a privately held company
headquartered in Hayward, CA in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Since being founded, Farasis has established a world class
facility and team for battery development. New lithium primary
and rechargeable battery systems based on our patent
pending materials, cell design, and safety technologies will
offer dramatic increases in energy and power density, run
time, and cell safety. We are currently securing high volume
manufacturing capability to commercialize our first generation,
advanced Li-ion cells based on our technology.

Management:
Dr. Yu Wang – CEO
Dr. Yu Wang is co-founder and Chief Executive officer of
Farasis Energy. Prior to founding Farasis Energy, Inc., Dr.
Wang held a number of key development and management
positions over his 15 year industrial career. He has extensive
experience in battery product development, high-volume
manufacturing and marketing. He has worked at two of the
major Li-ion battery manufacturers in North America, NEC Moli
Energy and PolyStor Corporation, where he has been involved
in the large-scale production, commercialization and marketing
and sales of a number of successful Li-ion battery products.
In his most recent role, he was the Director of Research and
Development at Polystor Corporation and Chief Cell Designer.
Dr. Wang earned his PhD from the Lisbon University of
Technology and did his postdoctoral research at the University
of British Columbia.
Dr. Keith D. Kepler – President/CTO
Dr. Kepler is co-founder and President and Chief Technical
Officer of Farasis Energy. He has an extensive background in
materials research and Li-ion battery development. Previously
he was the Director of Advanced R&D at PolyStor, a former
high-volume lithium-ion battery manufacturing company based
in the US, where he was responsible for developing next-
generation technologies for the company. While there he led
their multi-year, multi-million dollar Partnership for a New
Generation of Vehicles (PNGV) Program funded by DOE, GM,
Ford, and Daimler-Chrysler to develop high-power, polymer-
gel Li-ion battery technology for hybrid electric vehicles and
was also awarded and managed an Advanced Technology
Program (ATP)– NIST funded effort to develop the next
generation of ultra-high-capacity Li-polymer gel cells. Dr.
Kepler received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin,
Madison and worked at DOE's Argonne National Laboratory in
the Battery Development Group prior to joining PolyStor.
